Actress Ming-Na Wen has joined Los Angeles Comic Con as their newest headliner for 2021. Best known for originating the voice role of Mulan in 1998, Wen went on to star in all seven seasons of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Melinda May, and she can currently be seen on the Disney+ series The Mandalorian as Fennec Shand. Wen joins the previously announced headliners, including her Mandalorian co-star Giancarlo Esposito, Zachary Levi (Shazam!), genre film veteran Bruce Campbell, Tom Welling (Smallville), and comic book legend Frank Miller (Sin City, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns).
Like many pop culture conventions, L.A. Comic Con is taking weighted safety precautions in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. These protocols include limiting attendance, practicing social distancing, and providing hand sanitation stations throughout the venue. The organization will also have a virtual option available for at-home fans, including new digital products, immersive online experiences, and streaming capabilities for viewers to participate in the live panels.
L.A. Comic Con has also opted for one-session passes this year, which are currently on sale. These passes are said to be the lowest price that will be offered in 2021 for the vent, and each pass allows a guest to experience the offerings of L.A. Comic Con for a set five-hour time period.
L.A. Comic Con is currently scheduled to take place at the L.A. Convention Center from December 3-5, 2021. A complete rundown of the events and guest list can be found here.
