Two of the most powerful frontwomen of rock are teaming up for a mind-blowing US Tour. Amy Lee of Evanescence and Lazy Hale of Halestorm announced today that they will be hitting the road together as co-headliners beginning November 5th, 2021. The tour kicks off in Portland, Oregon and runs through December 18th in Worcester, Massachusetts. The bands will stick to the western half of the United States, and then move to the Midwest and East Coast after a taking a short break for Thanksgiving.
Evanescence will be supporting their latest album, The Bitter Truth, which marks the band’s first new original material in 10 years. Hits from this album have already included “Wasted On You,” “Use My Voice,” and “Better Without You.” Meanwhile, Halestorm is working on a follow-up to their 2018 album, Vicious.
The duo released a brief video announcement, which you can view here, in addition to a joint press release. Lee stated, “Words can’t express how excited we are to go back on tour with our friends and rock out again. We’ve been building this new music in isolation for over a year and dreaming of what it will be like to finally play it live, and to experience it together with our fans for the first time. We can’t wait to see you there!”
Hale commented on the drought of live music the world has been experiencing during the COVID-19 pandemic. “We have all been mourning the loss of live music, and patiently waiting, looking toward an uncertain future. Finally the future looks bright and I can’t think of a better way to break the silence than with our dear friends in Evanescence. I can only imagine how it will feel to step on stage again night after night, and reconnect with all of the fans whom I’ve missed so much. Get ready for intense emotions, loud performances, and a newly exhilarated energy unlike any tour we’ve experienced in the past. Looking forward to seeing you all!”
Lee and Hale are good friends and recently collaborated on several project together in the past year. Hale lend her vocals to Evanescence’s “Use My Voice,” while Lee appeared on a new iteration of Halestorm’s “Break In” from the latter’s Reimagined album.
