After a successful first season on Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer, Neve Campbell is teaming up again with show-runners David E. Kelley and Michael Connelly. However, this time she’ll be playing the leading lady in Avalon, an ABC mystery drama set on Catalina Island.

Campbell will play L.A. Sheriff Department Detective Nicole ‘Nic’ Searcy who is pulled into a “career-defining mystery that will challenge everything she knows about herself and the island.” Catalina is a notoriously busy tourist destination, serving as the perfect backdrop for a whodunit. Campbell’s character is described as “somewhat inscrutable” and not easily intimidated (she certainly has the resume for that), who holds firm to her morals.

Campbell, who appears to be aging in reverse, will return for season two of The Lincoln Lawyer and is also currently filming a recurring role in Twisted Metal, a Peacock series adapted from the video game and starring Anthony Mackie. Avalon marks the first time she will be playing the lead character in a television series. Ghostface, who?
