October officially marks the 80th anniversary of the first appearance of Wonder Woman and DC Comics numerous celebrations in store for the character. Among a slew of new comic books and graphic novels that feature the iconic Amazonian and her friends, Comic-Con recently announced plans to have the character inducted into their Character Hall of Fame via a virtual event on October 21st, 2021.
Fans will be able to view the ceremony on the Comic-Con Museum YouTube channel, which will feature a “toast to the character, with comics creators, talent shout-outs, and more fun moments!” The museum is sponsored by Comic-Con International: San Diego.
The actual 80th birthday –October 21, 2021– has been declared Wonder Woman Day by DC.
