Grammy Award-winning rock band Halestorm is joining the likes of Evanescence and Joan Jett by releasing their very own graphic novel later this year. Titled Hyde Manor, a play on the band’s infamous “Mz. Hyde” single, the novel is slated to be released this Halloween and will be distributed by Z2 Comics. The band is teaming up with some of the hottest up-and-coming talents in the comic book industry, with Brittany and Brianna Winner slated to write the book, artist Sara Scalia on pencils, and colorist DJ Alonso with a special appearance by Alison Sampson, who designed Hyde Manor‘s cover (which you can see below).
The novel is set on the Oregon Coast and takes place a sprawling gothic manor and features a “harrowing descent into one woman’s fight with the darkest parts of herself.” The book will follow members of Halestorm as they encounter sinister doppelgängers of themselves throughout the decaying halls of Hyde Manor. As parts of the house seemingly come to life, the band slowly falls prey to its madness while trying to record a new album.
Several editions of the book are available for pre-order, including a copy signed by the band members themselves. The female-fronted band has proven to be a mainstay in the hard rock genre since their debut in 2006, with lead singer Lzzy Hale being widely considered a powerhouse in the music industry. The rest of the band consists of Lzzy’s brother Arejay on drums, guitarist Joe Hottinger, and bassist Josh Smith.
