On Sunday evening, GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics organization held their annual Dorian TV Awards to honor excellence in queer television for the 2020-2021 season. The ceremony was simultaneously broadcasted live on both HereTV’s streaming service, as well as PlanetOut’s YouTube channel. Leading the pack of this year’s winners are FX’s Pose, who’s final season garnered the show the coveted Best TV Drama award of the evening, HBO Max’s Hacks landed the award for Best TV Comedy, HBO’s I May Destroy You won for Best TV movie or Miniseries, and Hulu’s Love, Victor scored the win for Best Unsung TV Show.
Special accolades of the evening went to Pose star MJ Rodriguez, multi-hyphenate Michaela Coel, and SNL talent Bowen Yang for their individual contributions to the LGBTQ community.
